What a Donut!

After watching an episode of Throwdown with Bobby Flay, my sister and I went looking for the much hallyballoo-ed donut from Mark Isreal. One of the best things about living in NYC was the ease of getting around to find these places right after seeing it on the Food Network! *Hehe* Hard to believe how you can make a donut imaginably more delicious than Krispy Kreme, but Doughnut Plant puts every other donut shop to shame. It’s a very unassuming little place on the Lower East Side. We sampled of a couple including the Lavender & Vanilla Bean Yeast donuts, Lavender Glazed donuts, and the famous Blackout donut, but nothing surpasses the sinfully delicious Tres Leches. Absolutely yummy! At $1.75-$2.00 a donut, it’s not cheap, but definitely worth a try. So if you’re ever in the area, definitely stop by.
