I’m still learning my way around SF Chinatown, but so far, it seems to pale in comparison to NYC Chinatown. It’s not that easy to find good restaurants and a lot of the places cater to American tourists so sometimes the restaurants are seriously overpriced.
I finally found R & G Lounge which is pretty decent. I had been here once a couple of years ago, but it’s recently undergone some renovations and looks like a pretty decent restaurant bordering on chi-chi now where it used to be more of a hole in the wall Hong Kong style cafe before. Food is good although portions are a bit small. I like the seafood pan-friend noodles. Tasty for other typical chinese dishes.
