It’s rare that you’ll find me eating along the Embarcardero rather than running along it, but considering the nice hike up in Muir Woods the day before and my still wanting to recover from Half Dome, Pdho actually agreed to a nice walk to get brunch. Beautiful, sunny days are so uncommon in San Francisco, especially in June and July, which is when you would expect them to be plentiful. It really makes you appreciate those days when they come……
Although I loved sitting by the water with the wind blowing every so slightly, the food itself did not turn out to be so good. It was pretty plain in fact. Pdho had eggs and I had a burger, and neither was really anything special. Pdho complained at the chicken apple sausages were a little too sweet. My burger was nothing to write home about either. I probably should have gotten some grilled onions and cheese or something, because it turned out to be pretty dry and plain “blah”.
Oh well…. the food wasn’t great but I wasn’t really expecting much anyways. The best part was being able to sit along the water on a lazy Sunday and just enjoy the view, the sun and the joy of being there.
